Imagine a house that you gathered close to the beach in summer and in the mountains when the winter comes. Is not that cool? Well somewhere along the line, one of the largest property developers in Malaysia, Sime Darby Property, Broadway Malyan has been tasked to come up with plans for Southeast Asia’s first zero-carbon living. Prefabricated in modules, home not only make the cost down it also allows for rapid construction / deconstruction process. Showing deep overhangs that provide shade, open, flexible interior space to accommodate a variety of usage, greywater system to reuse water and green roof garden with rainwater capture systems for irrigation, we can say we definitely would not mind living in such an eco home.

exterior is built of cedar siding with metal roof and interior features of Douglas fir ceilings and decking, sheetrock walls and floor of IPE. This house has a broad view of the glass facade of the north wall, while the height of the south wall to give privacy from the street outside, but still receive the light from clerestory windows. Open floor plan provides spacious residential feel despite the modest size of 1700 square feet.

A cool wooden deck is also part of the architecture. The interior has a modern design that is enriched with elements of rural and spacious rooms with a fresh feeling. Incredible natural environment was not leaving and large windows allow unobstructed views. giant fir trees guard the area and brilliantly integrated into building design. Located on the Oregon Coast, in Bandon Bluff, where the Coquille River meets the sea, this contemporary living wood comes from our idea of Johnston Architects and styled retreat.
